What is Junior Parents Weekend? 

Junior Parents Weekend (JPW) is an annual celebration with a weekend of diverse events to give families a taste of the Notre Dame student experience. 

Who plans JPW?

JPW is planned by student members of the junior class including two Co-Chairs, several committee members as well as two sophomore student Co-Chairs with oversight from their Student Activities staff advisor.

Who is invited to JPW?

All current juniors, fourth year Architecture students, and seniors who studied abroad in the Spring of their junior year are invited to attend JPW. 

When will tickets go on sale?

Tickets for Junior Parents Weekend 2023 will go on sale soon. Each invited student is eligible to purchase two tickets for the in-person events. A $20 late fee will be charged to all registrations starting February 3, 2023 at 12:00 am EST.

What is included in the cost of the ticket?

Tickets purchased grant access to attend the Academic Workshops, President's Reception, and Sunday Mass. All costs associated with this year's event cover the overall operations of these events.

Can I invite my sibling?

Siblings are not invited to the in-person ticketed events. They are welcome to attend the non-ticketed events throughout the weekend.

Can I invite my stepparent? 

Please email jpw@nd.edu with your request to receive more information. 

What is the refund policy? 

Tickets can be refunded at any time before February 10, 2023. No refunds - partial or full - will be processed after February 10, 2023. 

Where can I park on campus?

Event parking is permitted in the Bulla, Lake, Joyce, Dorr, and Dunne lots. Exact locations of each lot can be found at https://map.nd.edu/. Parking passes will be emailed directly to the main registrant of each family. 

What if I have financial need? 

Students and families who require financial assistance can connect with the Office of Student Enrichment to apply for funding. 

What if I have accessibility needs?

Families requiring accessibility accommodations should email jpw@nd.edu to obtain information regarding necessary accommodations. 

What COVID policies does the University have in place?

As we prepare to host this hallmark event for the Class of 2024, please note that there are currently no COVID requirements or restrictions with regard to attendance for this event. Please continue to monitor this webpage and your email, as this is subject to change.

Where can my family and I go to eat?

What should I wear to the signature JPW events (Academic Workshops, President's Reception, Class Mass)? 

There are no formal obligations for specific attire to be worn by parents and juniors at any of the JPW events; however we do encourage business casual or business formal attire for the signature events. Examples for business casual attire can be found here
