Frequently Asked Questions
What is Junior Parents Weekend?
Junior Parents Weekend (JPW) is an annual celebration with a weekend of diverse events to give families a taste of the Notre Dame student experience.
Who plans JPW?
JPW is planned by student members of the junior class including two Co-Chairs as well as several committee members with oversight from their Student Activities Office staff advisor. Meet them here!
Who is invited to JPW?
All current juniors, fourth year Architecture students, and seniors who studied abroad in the Spring of their junior year are invited to attend JPW.
When will registration go on sale?
Registration for JPW 2026 is now open. Juniors are able to register up to three (3) people total, one (1) student and up to two (2) parents or guardians. Please note, based on capacity for various events, availability is limited and we can not guarantee registration for every family and/or member of the Junior class. Space will be provided on a first come first serve basis, so we recommend registering for the weekend sooner rather than later. Registration will be open until availability runs out or January 30, 2026, whichever comes first; purchases made after January 15, 2026, will be charged an additional $20 fee per registration.
What is included in the cost of registration?
Registration for JPW26 is all inclusive; one (1) paid registration provides entrance for one (1) individual to all JPW26 events. All costs associated with this year's event cover the overall operations of these events.
Can I invite my sibling?
Siblings are not invited to participate in JPW events.
Can I invite my stepparent?
Juniors are available to purchase up to 2 additional tickets after theirs. Please email jpw@nd.edu if you have more questions.
What is the refund policy?
Registration can be refunded at any time before January 30, 2026. No refunds - partial or full - will be processed after January 30, 2026. Please reachout to both jpw@nd.edu and saostore@nd.edu with your refund request.
Where can I park on campus?
Beginning at 4pm on Friday of JPW the parking lots around campus will be free and open to all visitors throughout the duration of the weekend. If you plan to come to campus prior to that time, please visit Notre Dame Police Department’s Parking Services page for more information on guest and visitor parking.
What if I have financial need?
Students and families who require financial assistance can connect with the Office of Student Enrichment to apply for funding.
What if I have accessibility needs?
Families requiring accessibility accommodations should email jpw@nd.edu to obtain information regarding necessary accommodations.
How can my family take a tour of campus?

Where can my family and I go to eat?
Please visit Experience Notre Dame for available places to eat throughout campus, as well as updated hours. We also encourage you to explore the greater South Bend/Mishawaka area for other great dining options - visitsouthbend.com.
What should I wear to the signature JPW events (Academic Workshops, President's Dinner, Class Mass)?
There are no formal obligations for specific attire to be worn by parents and juniors at any of the JPW events; however we do encourage business casual or business formal attire for the signature events.
